Your Comments

Just realized that some readers (Hi Susie!) are posting comments. I'll try to read them in the 6 minutes I have left and respond next time to some of the questions. There are radios here, many people have cell phones but no electricity so charging is a problem. More next week!

  1. HI MISS AMY. Thanks for new blog and fotos, I have been waiting. I just read "women" and I can feel your internal responses to the 'plight' of women there. And also recognize that it is not kosher to describe much of life for women in US. Am impressed that they have opened up enough to you to share all f this information. You are a good listener, Amy! I often followed Guillermo around all day long as he spent the WHOLE day preparing a meal. I wrote before Bet you will re-evaluate your life here when you return as much as your learning experience of their culture. You will be happy to hear that Michelle Obama is planting a veggie garden on White House Lawn, first time since Eleanor R! Did not know if I should blog you or send emails.?? I hope you do a special on NPR when you arrive home. Your women friends there are going to miss you mucho! Love Susie PS no mention of personal health so assume you are fit.ooxx

  2. Hello Amy,
Maybe you will remember me. My name is Iara and I work in the allergy and asthma ,I hope now you remember me :-)
I was worried about you because I know most of americans do not know so much about life out of USA and I was worried about you do not feel confortable there, but now I could see you are having a great experience. I read your blog and it is funny I worked in places similar were you are and I used to say that americans girls are luck and you made me smile when you wrote that, because I never imagined a american gilr would say that. I used to come to USA, on my vacations, just for to think that life could be pretty because was really hard for me to see people suffering. I used to say that I loved to come to USA and see kids with a lot of toys because my patients, most of them, had no toys and they used to fell so happy when someone give some to them ,could be until broken, because they were really happy. IT is so pretty to see that here in USA exist people like you and i can wait to see you. Now I know you are happy with yours experiencies and I can wait for you tell me how good was to be there.
    Iara
